In the early 60s Kresge Co.looked to Australia as a potential source of growth but they decided to hook up with a local company.  That company was G.J Coles Pty.Ltd., one of Australia\u0026#39;s biggest retailers.  The first store opened in a suburb of Melbourne (Burwood) in Victoria in mid 1969.  I remember going there as a kid with my dad.  Many items were labelled as \u0026quot;Kmart\/Kresge Corp.\u0026quot; and the range of items was just great.  It was a very successful store which still operates to this day. Coles bought out Kresge\u0026#39;s holdings in their Australian offshoot in 1994 and it is now a completely Aussie company with no ties to the US operation at all.  It is very successful and operates more than 200 stores across Australia and New Zealand. Sadly Kmart Australia does not carry the range of products it used to have and there is no eat-in restaurant anymore (known here as \u0026quot;Hollies\u0026quot;) but it is the place to go if you want cheap stuff that is of reasonable I am a former French Foreign Legionnaire, born in Norway to Norse parents, but moved to the UK after serving 15 years as a legionnaire, and noticed that the poor self admin was apparent, not only in US civilians, but also its military while I was serving in Afghanistan. \u003Cbr \/\u003EI had to lead a patrol of mixed Legionnaires, British Royal Marine Commandos and US Marines, and after a heavy contact which took place on ops, I had the men in extended line cleaning their weapons - an essential task to keep your weapon operating efficiently. My men and even the men of the Royal Marines had everything from gas piston to bolt assembly immaculate and lightly oiled within 15 minutes. I ran a quick inspection over the M4s our US colleagues were using and was gobsmacked - residue and sand everywhere. This explained all the jamming issues and stoppages they continually experienced during the contact we were engaged in. \u003Cbr \/\u003EI refused to have them on my ops after that incident. Sloppiness in civilian life is one thing, sloppiness on the battlefield gets you and your fellow troops killed. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EBut, I digress, it pains me that young people today dress as though they\u0026#39;ve swept their clothes up off of the floor. Here in Europe, if a man is wearing jeans and trainers (sneakers for my US friends) and a t shirt, they won\u0026#39;t be baggy, sloppy looking items. They will be fitted, and look smart-casual. Giorgio Armani designer fitted jeans, a fitted Stone Island, Dolce \u0026amp; Gabbana or other designer Italian t shirt, smart trainers such as Gucci, Dolce \u0026amp; Gabbana or even Adidas Gazelles. Contrast this to what we are used to seeing in the US now - baggy jeans with the croth around their knees, t shirts that look about 2 or 3 sizes too large and ugly trainers that look like they were made for walking in space. Shudder. What was the norm in Europe at one time will one day become the hottest fashion trend...give it time. Just like Trans-Woman of the 2010’s, the race for the next Trend that normalizes the irregular is never ending. But regardless, a hot woman with some pit hair IS damned sexy...especially brunette !  It’s a fond call back to a time before the Brazilian destroyed the erotic look of The Muff. Now, not even Men are allowed to look like natural, masculine men. All body hair must be shaven off to destroy the natural human traits.
