The Traveling Wilburys were one of my favorite bands when I was in college. Check out my blogsite:

http://ikert24kfan.blogspot.com

Here I blog about the songs I grew up with and use it to reflect on my memories and views on life.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18263434191745863661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-33942461743913169182010-06-18T17:46:09.753-04:002010-06-18T17:46:09.753-04:00Marlene - I still love that song, too.

Didn't Orbison also make a western/comedy in the mid 60s? He was supposed to make a few more films but the first was a flop and the studio never filmed the rest of them.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I don't know how Mini Ripperton was. I'll definitely rectify that with a little research...Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18122952408610512684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-1313718339182179482010-06-18T16:55:01.733-04:002010-06-18T16:55:01.733-04:00Very cool post. I am a fan of Orbison's and can even tell you exactly where I was when I first heard he died (in fact, for years I had the newspaper clipping which had a pic of him and Eddie Money!)... David Lynch really gave Roy a second shot with In Dreams, as well as the song Life Fades Away which is on the incredible Less Than Zero soundtrack (and Glen Danzig wrote it!!!)... I had known about Roy's sad life, but always smiled when I read that if he made a mistake in the recording studio he'd say, "Mercy!"

I agree, let's make a movie. And while we're at it, can I request a movie about Mini Ripperton? Another tragic and wonderful musical figure...Amanda By Nighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01910620012465381103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15023065.post-91428877479808538632010-06-18T15:03:49.083-04:002010-06-18T15:03:49.083-04:00Wow - that poor dude experienced a lot in his life...Wow - that poor dude experienced a lot in his life time.
