My Baby Just Wrote Me A Letterhead

Friday, March 05, 2010

Yes, today's post is about vintage letterheads - but not just any old stationery letterhead. Some of these come from famous personalities and when you think about it, when's the last time you actually used a piece of letterhead? In today's high tech world of texting and emailing, letterhead is quickly becoming a relic. That makes these examples - that I found over at a neat site called - so fascinating to me. Some of these are just plain high art.

The Rolling Stones' stationery from 1969 is surprisingly bland:

By far, my favorite. Just one word and image immediately identifies it.

  1. Those are fabulous! Love the J. Cash one- you've inspired me to consider a letterhead.

  2. I really like the Gene Autry one. Nifty. I would never have thought to feature vintage letterheads.

  3. I haven't seen these themed letterheads for a while...too much computer stuff has killed that off.

  4. Hi Pam--I am enjoying your blog so much! I really miss letterhead & stationary. I still think there is nothing quite like a hand-written note.

BTW--Thanks for visiting me at the 1972 Retro WW Experiment. Sorry about the comment box issues--I have since fixed that!

    Hope you'll visit again soon.

  5. Very cool blog! Come visit me too at Zootsuitmama! Having a give a way.

  6. My favorite is the Johnny Cash. The Pepsi Cola is cool too, very retro.
