Social Norms Stocking Stuffers

You know all of those hilarious vintage instructional movies on YouTube about etiquette and proper human behavior that us retro fans all know and love? Well if you've ever wished you could package them all into a DVD so that you could watch them all with a big bowl of popcorn, or if you know someone else who does, it's your lucky day. How to Be A Man/How to Be A Woman were released in October, and make the perfect stocking stuffer for the vintage fan on your holiday gift list. Each is available at Amazon.com for $17.99 each, and contains hours of films that were produced between the 40s and 80s, with such charming titles as:

Am I Trustworthy? (Coronet) 1950

The Other Fellow's Feelings (Centron) 1951

You're Growing Up (Bailey Films) 1955

The Wonders of Reproduction (Moody Institute) 1958

Let's Make a Sandwich (American Gas Assoc.) 1950

Your Body During Adolescence (McGraw-Hill) 1954

The Joy of Living With Fragrance (Avon) Circa 1960s

Worth Waiting For (Brigham Young University) 1962

Saying No: A Few Words to Young Women About Sex (Crommie & Crommie) 1982

And would you get a load of this bonus feature!

From Rugs to Riches (Thomas Craven Prods.) Color 15 Min. A training film for the adult man, starring Jonathan Winters

I seriously want these DVDs...Santa, are you listening?

  1. Jonathan Winters? These are hysterical. I would love to show them to teenagers, it would confound them,

  2. These sound really funny. They remind me of Mystery Science Theater, which in addition to making fun of bad movies also makes fun of old "shorts", like a university film on becoming a home ec student.... so you could get engaged in the end!
