Gay Bob
I found this advertisement on VintageAdBrowser.com. At first I thought it was a cleverly done Photoshop joke - but considering this site it's on I don't think so. There's no year specified, other than being under the 70s category. Anyone have any thoughts? Gay Bob reminds me of James Brolin, Barbara Streisand's husband.

ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless.
No, actually I'm not: I want his boots!
(Only bigger, obviously.)
I wish my closet looked as well-organized as his. It is not.
ReplyDeleteThis is so hard to believe! However, here he is on Wikipedia, he's from 1977:

Wow, so he was for real!
ReplyDeleteI remember this, I was in HS at the time. As I recall, he's anatomically correct.
ReplyDeleteNot only is the Gay Bob Doll real, it gets a mention in a Frank Zappa song, "Sy Borg," From "Joe's Garage, Acts 2 and 3."
ReplyDeleteGo to the three minute mark, and listen to the narration and following verse:
